EthioSports Customer App - Privacy Policy Effective date: October 13, 2025 This Privacy Policy explains how the EthioSports Customer mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use the App to discover matches and purchase tickets. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. What We Collect - Personal Information you provide: - Full name - FCN number (16 digits) - Phone number (for payment initiation when applicable) - Transaction and ticket data: - Ticket details (seat, price, match, venue) - Unique ticket identifiers and booking references - Checkout URL and payment reference (tx_ref) - Device/usage data: - Basic, non-identifying diagnostics and logs necessary to operate the app How We Use Your Information - To process ticket bookings and payments (sending your full name and FCN number, and when needed phone number, to our ticketing/payment backend `https://ticket.ethiosport.pro/api`). - To create and display your tickets in-app and allow you to save/recall purchaser details for faster checkout. - To provide customer support and resolve issues. - To prevent fraud and ensure compliance with league and stadium requirements. Local Storage and Data Security - We use on-device storage (Hive) to save optional profile information (name, FCN number) and stored tickets for offline access. - We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Data Sharing and Third Parties - Ticketing API and Payment Processing: We transmit required booking data (attendee names, FCN numbers, phone number when required, seat and match details) to our backend services hosted at `https://ticket.ethiosport.pro/api` for booking and payment processing. These services may forward data to payment providers as necessary to complete transactions. - Web Checkout: The App opens a secure web checkout page (in-app webview) to complete payments. Information you submit on the checkout page is processed by the payment service provider and/or our backend in accordance with their privacy terms. - System Services: The App may use platform services for opening links (URL launcher), network connectivity checks, file storage, and sharing tickets and images (gallery/share utilities). These services operate under their respective platform privacy terms (Android/iOS). - We do not sell your personal information. Data Retention - Profile data (name, FCN) stored locally remains on your device until you clear it in the Profile page or uninstall the App. - Ticket data may be cached locally for your records. Server-side records are retained as required for accounting, security, and legal compliance. Your Rights - Access: You can view the data you saved in-app (Profile and Tickets sections). - Correction: You can edit or update your saved name and FCN number within the Profile page. - Deletion: You can clear your saved profile data in-app at any time. To request deletion of server-side booking records where legally permissible, contact us using the details below and include your booking reference. - Consent: You can choose not to store profile details locally and enter information only during checkout. Children's Privacy The App is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by local law. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us to request deletion. International Transfers Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version within the App and on our website. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
